Before we dive into the summary and ending of Money Heist, let’s start by getting to know a little bit more about how it came to be. Money Heist began as a television series produced by Atresmedia and premiered on Antena 3 in early 2017. Subsequently, due to its success, it was acquired by Netflix and presented at the end of the same year. Among its main protagonists are: Úrsula Corberó, Álvaro Morte, Itziar Ituño, Jaime Lorente, Fernando Soto and Alba Flores.
First two seasons

It begins with an original idea which was maintained in the first two seasons: the assault on the Museum of the National Mint and Stamp of Spain. The story revolves around the character nicknamed “the professor” or Sergio Marquina. He is quite mysterious and meticulously planned from a very young age the big heist. To achieve his goal, he recruits a total of eight criminals who are not afraid of losing anything. He assigns them city names to avoid exposing their real names or creating sentimental relationships. He prepares them for 5 months for every move, opportunity, setback or scenario that may arise. Then, when the day arrives, they enter the building and remain inside for 11 days. During this time they have calculated that they can get to print the amount of 2.4 billion euros.
Strategy, dealing with hostages, the police, the inspector in charge, are some of the situations they have to cope with every hour they spend locked up. With almost no sleep, they rotate tasks according to their specialties. Some help dig the escape tunnel, others print money and others control the hostages. Now, in the first two seasons, the entire heist is covered, with the robbers emerging victorious, just like Robin Hood. With all the money obtained and divided among them, they each go to a specific place to go unnoticed for the rest of their days.
Undoubtedly, the attention of millions of subscribers was captured. Seeing this reaction, Netflix asked to expand the story. Although it seemed that everything was already told, 2 more seasons were developed and we are waiting for the last one.
Third and fourth season
The third and fourth season arises where the initial plot changes. And the objective is another and even more ambitious in every way: the assault on the Bank of Spain. This time they go after the gold in the vault. But at the same time they have the objective of rescuing Rio, one of the main members of the gang. He is captured by tracing a call, even though that was one of the rules when leaving the previous heist, not to use common phones.
Immediately, his romantic partner, Tokio, makes her moves to get the professor and execute a plan. Gathering everyone back together and preparing them, the heist begins. While part of the gang carries it out, the professor and the former inspector (Lisboa) are outside to help them. This is when the fourth season begins, with the supposed death of Lisboa.

Everyone is destabilized and things get complicated inside and outside, generating disagreements within the robbers inside the bank. One of the bank president’s security agents, with all his skills and knowledge of the structure, does quite a bit of damage to the team. In a pitched battle inside the bank, he kills some members. However, they do not give up and move forward against all odds.
Finally, when it is believed to have gained the upper hand against the police, the inspector removed from the case Alicia Sierra discovers the Professor in his shelter.
