My opinion on this romantic drama

Excellent romantic movie, with many famous Spanish actors and an interesting plot at all times. For the first time we see Mario Casas playing the role of a tough guy. We must say that it suits him like a glove, much better than the nerdy nerd. I really liked Three Steps Above Heaven and very soon I will see I Want You, the second part.

Cast of Three Steps Above Heaven

Let’s talk about actor by actor, referring to which movies and series we can find them in:

  • Mario Casas as Hache (SMS, Paco’s Men, Sex, Party & Lies, The Boat, I Want You, Witching and Bitching): He is an icon of the screen in our country. Great as a tough guy.
  • María Valverde as Babi (Melissa P, La fuga, I Want You): She is the sensible girl who falls madly in love with the bad boy. She already had a long career and here she confirms herself as a great actress.
  • Álvaro Cervantes as Pollo (Luna el misterio de Calenda, Angels of Sex, I Want You): He is the main character’s inseparable friend. They share a fondness for fat bikes.
  • Marina Salas as Katina (Missing, Hay alguien ahí, The Boat, I Want You, For a Handful of Kisses): She is the friend of the protagonist girl, who hangs out with the friend.
  • Nerea Camacho as Daniela (Camino, Los protegidos, I Want You, Lolita Cabaret): Little sister of the protagonist.
  • Cristina Plazas as Rafaela (Paco’s Men, Love in Difficult Times, I Want You, Velvet): She plays the tomboyish mother of the two sisters.

Review of Three Steps Above Heaven

Three Steps Above Heaven is a movie designed exclusively for young people. The protagonists are handsome actors who attract the masses. For this reason many people criticize it harshly because as a film it is not a work of art. But it convinces those who like the new generation of actors. For this reason those who identify with it will be fascinated by it and others will hate it for being so cloying.

The film tells the story of the first moments of love. When something is triggered and we rise to 3 meters above the sky. So blunt, no more, no less. It shows a tough guy who, when he falls in love, is tender and understanding. It was the highest grossing film of 2010 and that the critics sink it in the trash for being sexist, unbelievable, pure marketing, too long, bad performances, simple script, over performances …. For this reason it has a 5, because at least it entertains.
